As far as hard copies of old newspapers (as well as the county's old criminal files), they are kept at the Warren Co. Genealogy Society at the Indianola Fairgrounds. They are in a basement area with a humidity problem and getting more damp by the day. There is much information about the Warren Co. pioneers in the old criminal files as oftentimes they filed affidavits and other items. The courthouse moved them out to the genealogy society, but the records won't last long there due to humidity. When I was thumbing through the 1800s records they felt quite damp. Some copies of the paper are missing but much of it is there.

Then there is the microfilms at the college (Simpson College I believe the name was) and also at the Indianola Public Library. Each of those facilities have some newspapers that the other one doesn't have.
