Bledsoe/Amanda Bird 1880 Census
Posted by: Linda Rice (ID *****4488) Date: December 19, 2003 at 13:05:14
  of 439

In the 1880 Census of Warren County, there is a family , William and Sarah J. (McCoy)(Bird) Bledsoe.

Sarah Jane's first marriage was to a David Bird in Fulton County, Il. He died as a result of wounds he received in the civil way.

In the 1880 Census of Warren County, there is a child listed in Wm and Sarah's family , as Amanda Bird. She is a step daughter. This must be a child of Sarah and David Bird. She is 17 years old in this census.

I had no idea this child existed until I saw this census record. She would be a full sister to my great grandmother.

Does anyone know what happened to her? Did she marry? Move away? What???

Thanks for any help and/or leads.
