There is nothing left of the old town of Bidwell with the exception of some foundations and some rusted coal car parts. I don't know if the Wapello County History book is still available or not. You might try contacting the Wapello County History Museum, which is located in the Amtrak Depot. Their tel. number is 641.682.8676 and they are open from 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Hope this helps.
