I am researching my BAKER line in Wapello County. James Asbury Baker, son of John Baker of Kentucky, married and moved first to Indiana about 1830 and then to Wapello and later Mahaska Co., IA.

James Asbury Baker, b. April 8, 1820, Harrison County, Kentucky, near Frankfort; married Helena Anderson, March 12, 1840, Hancock County, Indiana. Later, the Anderson, Baker, and Snodgrass families moved to Iowa, some settling in Wapello County.
