The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, January 23, 1908 NATHAN KENNEY succumbed to heart failure Monday evening. He had complained of not feeling well the day previous but on the day of his death had been at work on the farm hauling hay and doing other work, but seemed to be exhausted. He went into the house and sat down in the rocking chair, when a short time later he was found lifeless. The family formerly resided in Pleasant Township but a couple or three years ago purchased the same farm where he resided at the time of his death, just at the north confines of Chariton. He was about 72 years of age and was a native of Kentucky. He is survived by a wife and a number of grown children The funeral will be held on Friday, delayed until his son, CHARLES, reaches here from California. The other children are ED, who resides in Nebraska; BEN in Pleasant Township and MRS. MAY DAWSON, of Ottumwa. He was a member of the Christian Church and his remains will likely be interred in the cemetery near his former home in Pleasant Township. -------------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert January 22, 2005 iggy29@rnetinc.net http://www.rootsweb.com/~ialucas/Main.htm Notify Administrator about this message?
