Hi Bea! My grandfather was one of the sons of Francis Marion Tinsley. His name was Francis Marion Tinsley as well. He was know as Frank and I believe is listed as F.M. as one of the children of Francis Marion Tinsley (1827-1904). My grandfather was born in 1860 (he was 31 in Sept. of 1891) in Blakesburg, Iowa. He was an udertaker and Furniture dealer married to Aletha Alice Barber in 1891. Aletha had a daughter in Sept. of 1891 and the birth certificate lists this child as her third. Aletha and Frank (as he was known)went on to have 3 or 4 more children. one was my grandmother, Ruth Alice Tinsley Dorothy. I have just finished finding all the history on Ruth Alice and am trying to research her parents, my great grandparents, and seem to lose them in 1904 when Aletha files a petition for divorc asking for custody of all 5 of the children? The records from my grandmother indicate Aletha died around 1928 at age 59 of an "accident". Rumor had it that she was murdered!! Have just found some info re my Francis Marion from joedown@earthlink.net and oldebay71@aol.com Joe from earthlink advised me to check out this forum and I found your post from a long time ago (2000)!! Hope you still check this forum out occasionally. We might info to share. I am aneeee@webtv.net. Linda Graham
