Christian Nosler of Wapello County, Iowa married second to a Rebecca. They were enumerated in the Wapello County, Iowa 1880 census. In this census, Christian was age 68, born in Tennessee and Rebecca was age 51, born in Ohio.
Christian Nosler came to Wapello County from Putnam County, Indiana about 1842. He married first to Martha Ann Denny. They had (at least) the following children:
James H.
Almira
Mary M.
Eudora J.
George F.
There was at least one other Nosler family in early Wapello County and that was Dr James Nosler of Eddyville. I have not proved it out but James and Christian may have been brothers. I hope this helps you out. Your information on Rebecca has filled in some gaps for me. Thank you.
