My great great Grandmother was named Annie Luke Thorne. She
had been married to a man named Richard Heath prior to her marriage Homer Thorne.
I believe that Annie and Homer Thorne are buried in Wapello County.
My great grandfather was named John Heath and he was born 22 Dec 1875 at
Cleveland Lucas County Iowa.
He married Sarah Ann Moses 25 Dec 1895 in Wapello County Iowa. Sarah was orginally from Wales
but her family came over and settled in Rutledge Wapello Cty Iowa.
Her parents were Charles Moses and Sarah Jane Pimm who also lived in the area.
Annie and Richard Heath also had daughters named Sarah Heath who never
married and Elizabeth (who married a Turner).
Annie married a man name Homer Thorne and we belive their daughters were Lavina (who married a Lewis), and the other the
family says was named Mary although she is listed in John's obit as Katheryn
and they had one son Frank Thorne.
From John's obit- it appears that Frank and Katheryn (who married a Johnson)
were living in Ottumwa--this was in January of 1947.
Does anyone else have information or is related to these people also?
