I'm looking for a birth record for Edwin Elmer Smith, reportedly born Oct 1872 in Eldon IA. Hopefully this record will lead me to his parents. The family was probably members of a Church of the Brethern somewhere in Wapello or Jefferson County. Does anyone know if such church records exist, and, if so, how to access them?
