Hello Neil,

I'll have to do some checking in my records, but you might try the Taylor County Museum in Bedford. I have a book on Platteville that has extensive information on the Matheny family and my Aunt Mattie was the wife of James Harrison Matheny. I can give you quite a bit of genealogical information if you PM me at my e-mail address.
