John BORN was born on 16 April 1846 in Monroe Co., Illinois, the son of Jacob and Julie BORN. Nancy BRACKEN was born 5 July 1849 in Boone Co., Indiana, the daughter of Robert BRACKEN and Nancy Elizabeth RILEY. The Bracken family came to Story Co., Iowa around 1855 and appeared on the 1856 census. John and Nancy were married 3 Nov 1867 in Story County. They had the following children:
Francis Riley BORN, b. 1 July 1868
Thomas Madison BORN, b. 17 Oct 1870
Minnie BORN, b. 9 Nov 1873
Estella BORN, b. 2 Feb 1875
Daisy Mae BORN, b. 24 Feb 1880
Nancy died in 1892 and John next married Caroline RANDAU in 1895. She died in 1909 and John married Minnie STRAUM. John died in 1929, and I believe Minnie survived him.
