Searching for old Bethesda Lutheran Church cookbooks from Ames, Iowa during the 1940's and 1950's (or earlier) that may contain my great-great grandmother Gertrude (Donaldson) Bakke's recipes. Gertrude was born in Norway as Gjertrud Moklebust and according to old news articles was well known for doing a great deal of the cooking for the smorgasbords at the Bethesda church during the 1940's and 1950's. I am putting together a family tree cookbook and would like to obtain some of her recipes as it is highly possible that she would have submitted some of her recipes. If anyone possesses Bethesda Lutheran Church cookbooks from this time, I would love to have the recipes e-mailed to me. Thanks in advance for your help!
