Is anyone researching or are there any descendants of Nicholas & Catherine remaining in Sioux County? They moved to Alton sometime between 1880 when they were in Springbrook, Jackson County and 1895; Nicholas was born in Luxembourg Nov 1852. They had three children: John J. born Sep 1879 Jackson County, Claude P. born Mar 1892 Sioux County, and Olivia E. born Jun 1894 Sioux County. Nicholas & (C)(K)atherine were still living in Alton in 1930
John and wife, Cecelia were living in Alton in 1920 but are not in the 1930 census. They had three children in 1920:
Victor (12), Claude (9), and Bertilla (2 1/12).
