Looking for Godes family living in Shelby county 1880's. Claus married Caroline Storm in Jackson County Iowa 1886 but they farmed for a short time in Shelby county. The Godes had eight children. His brother Nicholas lived in Preston, Iowa. My grandfather Michael Koch was a cousin. They were immigrants from Luxembourg.
