I believe we have a connection, but I am having the same problem as you can't get a good lead on McGuires. I do have some information on John's wife, Elizabeth Carr, if you would like it.
My Gr Gr Grandmother was Arizona McGuire, sister to your Willis I believe.
You are the first person I have found working on this McGuire family, maybe working together will help.
