Thank you Pam, I'm at work and don't have my information on the GEO. HARRISON MARSHALL & CHARLOTTE SLACK marriage at Zanesville Ohio, but it took place about 1867. The Slack family believes that there were 2 children (sons) born to this marriage but had no information on them. In 1870 census for Zanesville, a boy Harry is shown as age 1 year (therefore born 1868 or early 1869). I haven't yet found any information on a second child. There is a conflict in death dates for Charlotte - Jan 1888 per Poweshiek Co. History and Dec 1874 per IGI and some Slack family descendants. Muskingum County, Ohio marriage records show a marriage in 1877 for George H. Marshall & Elizabeth Parker, and in 1882 George Harrison Marshall married Miss Jennie Coppage of Tyler County, West Virginia, in Ryerson's Station, Greene County, PA. At that time, Jennie was 20 and George Harrison was about 42 years old. A divorce for George H. and Charlotte would seem to be unlikly in this case, and perhaps the late 1874 death date for Charlotte is correct. Even though George Harrison Marshall had his family as well as Slack family members in and around Zanesville, a widower with young children would tend to remarry. I am still trying to find George Harrison ("Harrie") Marshall and his son Harry (probably also George Harrison) and a wife in the 1880 census, but there seem to be too many George Marshalls and boys named Harry in the OH-WV-PA census records and I haven't located the appropriate one. Again, thank you for your response. George in NY Notify Administrator about this message?
