The coroner records are probably at the Pottawattamie county courthouse in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Call or write the Clerk of the Court, and they might look up those records. If he died in 1889, he may be in the Fairview Cemetery. I don't have my cemetery books with me right now or would look up that record, but you could also contact the Pott. Co. Genealogy society to do this research for you, for a small fee they may charge.
