If Fern Richardson died while living in the Christian Home, I thought it possible that she was buried in Fairview Cemetery. But I checked that index and found nothing. There was no cemetery on the grounds of the Home. You can write to or phone the Pottawattamie County courthouse on Pearl St. in Council Bluffs. You know when she went into the home, and if she died while there, then you have a date range, because girls only stayed until they were 18. So, let's say she went into the home in 1912 and she is not in the 1920 census, then ask the Court Clerk to check 1912-1920. I'm sure they'd do that for you.

I see that the family was living in Harrison County, Missouri Valley, Iowa, in the 1905 census, with John, Bertha, Fannie and Fern. Is that them? If they had family in Harrison County, perhaps Fern was buried there in Missouri Valley? Is that possible?
