August Korgan was in the 1895 Iowa state census for Pottawattamie County, born Germany, age 38, Lewis Township. In the 1900 census, he is still in Pott. Co., this time at age 43, wife Carline age 37, children Frances 19, Ella 16, William 15, Rosie 13, Edna 11, Liddie 6, and Ruth 2. In the 1900 census, it states he was born in Germany and immigrated in 1876; wife Carline was born in Iowa, as were all of their children. By the 1920 census, it appears August and "Carry" moved to Texas, by way of Oklahoma, and appear in the census there: 1920, April 24, Johnson Co., TX: August Korgen, age 63, b. Germany, farmer, immigrated 1871 Carry Korgen, wife, age 57, born Iowa, father b. Holland, mother b. Germany, farm laborer in dairy Sarah Korgen, daughter, age 18, born Oklahoma, no occupation Is this the same family as in Iowa? It appears to be. I'm not related and hope this helps you. Let me know if I can do anything else. Notify Administrator about this message?
