Origin of County Name?

I am interested in finding the history of how Pocahontas County recieved its name. I am researching the Parrish family and have found that they are descendants of Pocahontas. I have also traced the family back to Felix Warden Parrish who was listed in the 1892 Iowa Farmers Directory, and he was listed as recieving his mail in Fonda, Iowa.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
