I don't know if any of this will help. you may already have it. I checked the census record for Peter and Mary Sanem , Mary claimed she immigrated in 1888 , nationalized in 1913. She evidently did not live with a brother very long, for her marriage record, Peter Sanem to Mary Hentges , 12 Jan 1889 Plymouth Co. Iowa. Both John and Nicholas were in Plymouth County in 1885, so could have been either one. Mary arrived in New York on Apr 19 1888 from Antwerp Belguim on the ship Westernland, but it appears she did not come alone, directly under her (at age 24), was another Mary Hentges age 17, both listed as on Aft Deck F. Hope this little bit will help.
