Searching MACKAY.
In 1880 Angus MACKAY, born 1798 in Scotland, his wife Harriet [ROSS] b.c 1813 Scotland, children Robert, 44, Christina, 38, and Charlotte, 27 were living in Preston, Plymouth, Iowa. Other known children of this couple were Isobel, Janet, George, Bessie, William and Neil. Children were all born Zorra Township, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada between 1833-1856. William died in Bay City, Bay, Michigan 1869.

The nephew of Angus MACKAY and Harriet ROSS, was John George Vansittart MACKAY born 20 Jan 1853, West Zorra Township, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada, son of Charles MACKAY and Jane GRAHAM. In 1884 John was in the Village of Lake Park, Dickinson, Iowa.

Two photographs exist of a Jewel MACKAY and an A. S. MACKAY, no dates, but on the front was an embossed messsage; "R. J. Dabb's, 714 Main St. Le Mars, Iowa."

Any insight into the MACKAY family of Plymouth, Iowa would be appreciated. Regards, Marg Hutton email address rkhutton@mars.ark.com. Telephone 1 250 339-0429 Comox, British Columbia.
