About the only way to find out would be to trawl through the newpapers of that time period. There were several newspapers active at that time. Two of which were the Sheldon Mail and Shelson Sun. Also others spread through the county, so you would need to know which area of the county he was in at the time, to find which newpaper would have any info on him. That said, he would more than likely have been at either the "Christian Church" or the "Christian Reformed Church", which is not as simple as it sounds. There were several churches in the county named the same, in various towns. Sheldon did not get it's 'Reformed' church until the late 1940's. Being that the county line between O'Brien and Sioux was at the western edge of Sheldon city limits, so he could have lived in Sheldon and been afilliated with a church in Sioux county.
