Basketball Prospects
Basket ball! Who said basket ball? Of course the high school is going to have a basketball team. There are good prospects of a team this year, although only one of the members of last year's team will be here to help them. There are a number of players to try out this year. No definite lineup has been made and none will be made until after the gym. opens, which will be about November lst.

George Callenius, who played on the team last year, will be likely to play center, on this year's team, as he played center part of the time last year.

The fellows who will try to make the team are: John Goodrich, Ralph MeCauley, Chris Meltvedt, George Henderson, George Callenuis, Arthur Noe, Alex Scott and Francis Young: There will be a close contest. because these boys are all good players. They are from the three upper classes.

No telling what our freshman friends will do. They may show more skill than the boys who think they will make the team.

Mr. Cathcart, county Y. M. C. A. secretary, is planning a series of relay races between towns to be held this fall: The first one will be run from Paullina to Primghar. Teams of ten boys each from the grade schools of these two towns, will be the participants: Each team will be composed of ten boys, each running a mile. This race will be followed by others until each school has taken part in two.
