hello;

My mother is Barbara (Norton) Mohn in Philadelphia, daughter of Vern and Doris Norton. I'm looking for information on my maternal grandfather's mother, Pearl Holmes. I do not at the moment have any information, other than the fact that she married Warren Norton ca 1923. They were farmers in the area of Sanborn, IA. I have EXTENSIVE information on the Norton and Daggett families (please feel free to ask! It's VERY a very interesting and somewhat illustrious family); my tree there is complete.
I did see the 1880 census listing several Holmes' in O'brien county, it's likely the son was her father:291A 40 Holmes Alice 39 England 160-289b.txt
291A 41 Holmes Elizabeth 17 Iowa 160-289b.txt
291A 42 Holmes John 16 Iowa 160-289b.txt
291A 39 Holmes Thomas 44 England 160-289b.txt

..I have no way of knowing. I realize it's very diffcult seraching for females...they're generally listed only as wives.

Any information would be greatly appreciated..and I do mean any, even if you're not entirely sure.
Please feel free to email me, or I'll get an email from the forum if I get any responses.
Thanks so much.
