I checked the Kaufmann History for more information and found that Matthew Klein was born January 21, 1864 in Iowa and married February 18, 1886 also in Iowa. He died June 3, 1933 and it stated he was buried in the Klein Cemetery, Moscow, Iowa.
I searched the listing for the Klein Cemetery on the Muscatine County web site and no Matthew Klein is listed there. Possibly he never had a stone as stones of that time usually stay quite readable. I searched listings of other cemeteries in the Moscow and Atalissa area and didn't find him at any of the others. Possibly the Muscatine Journal would have had his obituary, or the Wilton Advocate. I know the Wilton Library has the Advocate on microfilm and assume the Journal is also on microfilm at the Muscatine Library.
Matthew & Mary Jane were members of the Lutheran Church.
