John Gardner; Monona County, Iowa

Looking for information (and relatives) on John Gardner of Snitterfield. In my Gardner line, I have 3 John's in a row; the youngest was born June 23, 1879 near Moorhead, IA (Willow Twp?). He married Ethel "Effie" Rush, who was raised by the Adams family of Harrison county.

The middle John was born Feb. 7, 1837 in Snitterfield and christened Feb. 11, 1837 at St. James Episcopal Church. He arrived in America during the Civil War. He eventually settled in Monona County, Iowa. I know he had at least one sibling, a sister (Elizabeth?).

The oldest John was born about 1811, married Hannah Lancaster (b. <1815), was a farmer, and remained in England.

Like all of us, I'm looking for long lost relatives and additional information. Thanks!
