In just a few days of hard digging, it came to light that Earl David MURRAY was born not in November, an assumption from the 1880 F. Cen. fraction 8/12 mos., but on 13 October, 1879. Then, the website mgr. at USGenweb located the obituary of Ada MURRAY for me. Her maiden name was BURKS. Earl was absent from Mapleton for a time when he married that native of Van Zandt, TX in 1902 and started a family. Earl & Ada returned to Monona County to have more children. I am still looking for a cause of death and date of death for Earl whose life was all too short. Some of their children: Marian E. (Mrs. Kenneth Demptster), Eva B. (Mrs. Hays), Leo F., Earl David, Jr., Glen E. and Gladys H. The obituary said there were two more children who did not survive to 1971.
