didn't find any obituaries, but have found the following regarding the Brunell's (am still hunting, still trying to find more on the Hiram Peterson connection):
Joseph Brunell, born about 1825 in Canada married to Margaret
(born about 1830 in Canada). They had 3 children in the 1850
Federal Census of Johnson County, IA, including a "Marom."
These children were "Lavregen," a female born about 1832
in Canada, a son, Jason, born about 1835 in Canada; and a
son, 'Marom,' born about 1840 in Illinois.
Maroni Albert Brunell was born February 17, 1840 at Galesburg, Knox County, IL.
died May 29, 1929 at Sioux City, Woodbury County, IA. He married
Lucy Jane Allison (born June 23, 1850 at Anderson County, MO.
died December 22, 1934 at Cherokee, Cherokee County, IA)
They were married April 7, 1867 at Mills County, IA., and
had the following children:
2. i. Charles Albert Brunell: born January 24, 1869 at Mills County, IA.
died December 12, 1959 at Iola, Allen County, KS.
3. ii. Edmund Earl Brunell: born January 23, 1870 at Mills County, IA.
died April 22, 1928 at Hennepin County, MN.
4. iii. Rosa Mae Brunell: born October 7, 1871 at Mills County, IA.
died December 2, 1933 at Anthon, Woodbury County, IA.
5. iv. John Fred Brunell: born July 1, 1874 at Mills County, IA.
died in 1897 (in Utah?)
6. v. Willis Ethan Brunell: born December 3, 1876 at Mills County, IA
(last seen in Bonner County, ID with good sized family)
7. vi. Nina Lorraine Brunell: born February 15, 1879, Mills County, IA
died October 19, 1939 at Phoenix, Maricopa County, AZ. Married
Hiram Peterson about 1905. Had one son: John A. Peterson
8. vii. Maude Edna Brunell: born March 16, 1880 at Mills County, IA.
9. viii. Herbert Garfield Brunell: born June 25, 1883 at Woodbury County, IA.
10. ix. Horace Pearl Brunell: born August 24, 1885 at Woodbury County, IA.
died in January 1959 at Estancia, Torrance County, NM.
11. x. Benjamin H. Brunell: born December 25, 1888 at Woodbury County, IA
died January 26, 1889 at Woodbury County, IA.
12. xi. Freda Mary Brunell: born June 18, 1891 at Woodbury County, IA.
died May 24, 1902 at Grant, IA.
