Dorothy (Dottie) C. CHAMBERS 68, of New Carlisle, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 13, 1988 at St. Elizabeths Hospital, Dayton. She was born January 29, 1920 in North Star, Ohio the daughter of Henry and Susanna (HILGEFORT) DIERKERS. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, a life member and past president of Medway VFW 9684 Ladies Auziliary, life member of the VFW 9684 National Home, Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Dottie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tom; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. James (Judy) FRENCH of Vandalia, Mrs. Tony (Kathy) JACKSON of Dayton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Barbara of Columbia, South Carolina, Tom (Bud) and Mary of Medway, Steven of New Carlisle; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor BARGA of Dayton and Clara THORP of Xenia; a brother, Joseph DIERKERS of Lakeview, Ohio; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Burns officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Dayton. Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday in Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle.
