Hello again J. Christiansen,
The source I have for that info is my Father and the reason it doesn't show him coming at 16 is that he worked his way over on a freighter from what I was told.
I don't have any info on him in Nebraska.
I was told he worked for the Denver-Rio Grande railroad until they had a strike and when they called him back to work he said he would not work with the scabs that crossed the picket line and that's when he went to work for the brickyard. The source for the railroad work is the U.S. Railroad Retirment Board.
I'm still looking for the 1916 census records on Svend Aage Kristensen,but it says that he was living with his Grandparents Niels and Ellen at that time.
