Ole Eckness' death
Posted by: Ken Wyatt (ID *****5402) Date: December 09, 2012 at 19:51:31

We know that our ancestor Ole Eckness (spelled variously also as Eikenes and Eikenaes) died in October of 1918. He was a resident of Sioux City, Iowa, and worked for the railroad. He is said to have died either from an accident while working on a church steeple, or from complications due to pneumonia. He was born on Nov. 27, 1881, in Bergen, Norway. Thus, he was either 36 or 37 when he died. He was married to Thelma Lilyquist. We do not have a date certain for his death, and I have been unable to find a death record. Can anyone find it, and/or the circumstances of his death?
