Hello,
My Great Great Grandparents Nicholas and Clara (Duschen) DeMuth lived in the area of St. Donatus, Iowa in Jackson County in the 1860's. I have done research in that area and I have discovered that there are also ties to the following families that were not only in St. Donatus but in Dubuque, New Wine, New Vienna and Key West in Dubuque County, also:
Duschen
DeMuth
Kies
Michels
Mies
Lamar
If anyone out there has ties to the above mentioned family names in Jackson and Dubuque Counties in Iowa, I would be very interested in sharing information with you, please feel free to contact me, and let's see if there is a tie between your family tree and mine.
