Working back from the 1895 Census in Iowa I was able to follow the Shimitz family back another generation. It looks like the family came to the US between 1862-1865. Frank Shimitz probably married his wife Barbary in Washington County, about 1872 or so. Highland township in Washington County borders Johnson County which contains Iowa City.

I wonder if AnRosy is the one your want. You might want to check the source that you have giving her name as Anna Katy and see if the K might be an R.
