Yes, the BROOKINGS were from Cecil Co MD. I guess all your questions re: David BROOKINGS have been answered, but I'm still not understanding....is David JENNESS your ancestor?

Shockley & Smith, auctioneers for Robert C. Thackery, trustee, sold on Tuesday
at public sale at the Court House door the real estate of the late Samuel J.
Jenness. The Jenness mill property containing forty acres, improved by a stone
grist mill and dwelling house was bought by Robert C. Jenness for $7,200. The
Jenness farm near Woodlawn, containing 57 acres, improved by a frame dwelling
was purchased by Evan G. Sentman for $2,650.
[Interesting....one of the JENNESS' given names was SHOCKLEY]
