Based on the early census records I was able to locate, This is correct. Plus several children of William Rossiter & Melissa Rowland/Roland are listed on the 1925 IA state census and one of the questions they asked were name of parents.

Again the wife's maiden name is sometimes spelled ROWLAND & also ROLAND. For this index imput: Rowland (and select soundex) no given name....then for spouse imput William Rossiter........this should bring them up.

Of interest is that Iona G. Rossiter is listed twice on the 1920 IA, Mahaska Co census....once with her widowed Mother and once alone, working at the Mahaska County Hospital as a Nurse. Iona G. Rossiter traveled abroad and although it appears to be the same 'trip' it is indexed twice. Both with the same exact birth date & both living in University Park, IA.
