I want to find the Civl War Record for Thomas Hanlon b. 8-1-1837,wife Catherine, father of Frank,Thomas G, Margaret, Sarah. Came to US 1844 (census)from Ireland through NY, not sure how. Also, found him b. 1837 in NY(death cert)?? I find him Mason City, Iowa later. Also, not sure what his relationship is to Michael Hanlon b. 1823,wife Mary, father of Julia, shown in Blue Earth, MN 1860 census as Handlin. I know Julia's husband was going to work for her uncle in Mason City, Iowa. Just not sure which one that is. Margaret was called a cousin.
