Vera McNutt -
Graveside services for Mrs. Vera (Hicks) McNutt, 88, who died Sat. at the Ottawa Retirement Village, will be at 2 pm, Tues. at the Highland Cemetery with Rev. Don Richardson officiating.
Born 10 Jan 1898 at Oakland, Iowa, she married Frank Ray McNutt 1 Oct 1925, at Ottawa. He died 11 May 1977.
Mrs. McNutt has lived here since 1901, and was employed as the circulation manager for the Ottawa Herald from 1920-1927. From then until 1934, she was employed by Central Printing Company.
She was a memeber of the First Christian Church and was a former member of the Garden club and the Women's Auxiliary of the Warren Black Post No. 60 of the American Legion, all of Ottawa.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Friends may call until 1 pm Tuesday at the Dengel and Son Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 5-6 pm Monday.
