The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, June 20, 1907 The home of MR. and MRS. WM. BALDWIN was the scene of a pretty wedding, Saturday evening, when their daughter, IVA, was united in marriage to MR. VERNE JAMES, Rev. McCullagh, of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating, only the relatives of the family being present. The bride wore a neat gown of white Persian lawn. She is a charming young lady, and by her sweet and amiable disposition, has endeared herself to a large circle of friends. She is a graduate of the Chariton High School and has for a number of years been a successful teacher in the eighth grade, at the south building. The groom is a son of A.M. JAMES, and was raised in Whitebreast Township. He is a pleasant and progressive young man. He has for several years been traveling salesman for the Lithe Hardware company, of Des Moines, and is a hustler for business. A reception was given Sunday, at the home of his parents, in Whitebreast Township, in their honor. They immediately went to housekeeping in the Maple property, which they had furnished ready for occupancy. The leader, with a host of friends, join in the best wishes for a long life, full of happiness and prosperity. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert December 22, 2004 iggy29@rnetinc.net http://www.rootsweb.com/~ialucas/Main.htm Notify Administrator about this message?
