The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa

GEORGE BELLMAN, a former resident of Melrose, and instructor in the public
schools at that place, a number of years, and well known to many in this
county, died Tuesday morning, at his home near Indianola, after a continued
illness with catarrh of the stomach. He was married about twenty-five years
ago to MISS LIBBIE BOYD who lived only a few years after marriage. He was
afterward married to MISS MARY CARTER, who with seven children survive him.
Funeral services were held at his home on Thursday morning.
