The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa

MRS. MAUD JONES was born at Danville, Ill., April 9, 1864, and died at her
home in Chariton Nov. 9, 1906, at the age of 42 years and 7 months. She was
united in marriage to HARLEY H. JONES at St. Louis, Mo., in 1884, where she
united with the Baptist Church and has lived a true Christian life, always
willing to sacrifice for the good of others. She was an invalid for over
sixteen years and bore her suffering patiently and when the final summons
came was ready to go and passed away quietly (*can't read) services were
held at the home, conducted by Rev. Evans of the M.E. Church and interment
made in Chariton Cemetery.
The sympathy of the entire community goes out to MR. JONES, who has
administered so faithfully to her wants during all these years of affliction
