The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa

LOREN FLUKE returned from New Mexico, last week, where he had gone to secure
land. He was met by his father, OLIVER FLUKE, and other members of the
family, now residing in Oklahoma, and together they proceeded to the new
Eldorado of the southwest. LOREN secured a quarter section claim, his
father, sister and brother-in-law filing on the balance of the section.
Thus they have a full section of fine land between them. LOREN expects to
go there and take up his residence and of course the holding of these
homesteads will necessitate the balance leaving Oklahoma and establishing a
permanent abode on them.
