Need help with Dwight James Daugherty of Iowa and his father William

Searching to help a friend find his father's family.
Father Dwight James Daugherty born Iowa, Feb. 10, 1915 died Nov. 8, 1972 Iowa City, Iowa.
Siblings: Frances Daugherty married to Max Moore, Iris Daugherty married to Harry Brown, Earl Daugherty married to Lillie McCombs.
Dwight's father and mother were William Daugherty and Cecil Van Vlair. William had one other known brother Joe Daugherty from Albia, Iowa.
Any and all help will be appreciated.
