Saturday, January 12, 1905

NORWOOD NEWS:

Born to J.L. DRAKE and wife, a son.

Born to DELL OXENRIDER and wife, a son.

School began Monday after a two weeks vacation.

FRED CONRAD and EDD CLOTHIER are attending court at Chariton.

ROBERT MILLER shipped a cargo of valuable bull calves the first of the week.

HARVE GRAY has rented the WILL GRAY farm, known as FLETCHER PLACE, for the coming year.

LUCK ASHBY has moved the WOODARD buildings over to his place, having bought them of ROBERT MILLER.

A small child of TAYLOR BAKER and wife, died of pneumonia last Sunday morning and was buried Monday.

Norwood is to be without a post office after June 14th. This will be an inconvenience to the residents of this part, but the office does not pay.

Prospects are high for a new telephone line between Norwood and Chariton before very many weeks pass. The promoters are confident the line will be a success.
