Garden Grove Express August 17, 1893 Garden Grove, Iowa High Point Items. W. A. KELLER and daughter Gertie were Garden Grove visitors last Saturday. Last Thursday's rain will add materially to the yield of corn and potatoes, and help the pastures, and so the farmer smileth. Mrs. WILSON visited with Mrs. J. B. MCCLEARY last Friday and Saturday. Rev. Jessie ADAIR, an old time resident of this place and a native of Woodland, visited friends and relatives here last week, and is conducting a series of meetings at Woodland this week. Charlie, Mary, and Lillie BRANT were Leon visitors last Saturday. Miss LAND closed her meetings in the Konklin district Sunday night. Mrs. J. W. BLEDSOE is quite sick, but we understand is now improving. W. A. KELLER and family visited Sunday with J. H. WARRINGTON's. Elias KING has been very sick for the past few days, but we are glad to report that he is somewhat better. Ed SANDERS and family started for their home at Shannon City. W. CURRY is working at the High Point school house repairing it. Another good rain Monday night. Plowing for wheat will now be in order. Let us hear again from Central High Point. We are all relation.
