A Possible Moorman Relationship

On the 1905 Kansas State Census of Montgomery County, City of Coffeville, the following family is listed.

Thomas B. Hill, age 37, from Kansas;
Rosa Hill, age 19, birthplace unknown;
R.H. Hill, age 5, birthplace unknown;
Bessie Mae Hill, age 9, from Kansas; and
Mary Moorman, age 56, perhaps from Iowa (conjecture).

Thomas B. Hill is my Great Grandfather; Bessie Mae Hill is my Grandmother.

I am looking to identify the birth parents of Bessie Mae. Other material indicates that Rosa may not be Bessie's birth Mother (note the ages of both). I am inclined to believe that Mary Moorman (maiden name unknown) is Rosa's Mother and Bessie may have been adopted, or is a child from one of Thomas' prior marriages.

Clearly I need to know more about the Moorman family from Iowa that would contain Mary (surname unknown) Moorman and Rosa "Moorman" (perhaps?).

Any information will be appreciated.

Kenneth A. Lester, CPA
