Nancy;

I am not related, thought I might help,looked at the 1850 census , 1860, 1880, for Samuel and family, the marriage date and death dates you have checked out, His wife Catherine married #2 Alexander C. Sailors Jul 12 1893, son Chester V. Jackson living with them in 1900, daughter Myrtle married Allen Vaugh listed on the 1925 census for Iowa in Marion County. Samuel buried in Greenwood cemetery Marion County. (if you need the census records let me know)

Samuel Jackson was the son of Stephen VanRenselaer Jackson, b 20 Nov 1807 Pompey New York, died 20 Feb 1893 Puyallup Pierce County Washington. Married #1 Nancy Walker b 31 Dec 1814 Clark Co. Indiana , on 23 July 1831 Shelby Co. Indiana, dau of Samuel Walker, and Elizabeth Reed, died 26 Oct 1860 Jefferson Co. Iowa. He married #2 Jul 14 1861 in Wappello Co. Iowa (name not given)
Stephen V. Jackson was the son of Mathew Murray Jackson b 16 jan 1763 Woodstock CT, and Jane Campbell b 24 Jan 1770 Chester MA ( This jackson lineage is carried back to one Nicholas Kackson in the 1600s in England. If you are unable to locate the Family trees, I can fill you in on the line.)
