I am Florence Cannariato, descended from Samuel Clark Warden, father of Anna Warden Lister by her sister Sarah Ellen Warden (Ferrell). My records are as follows:
Samuel Clark Warden b. Apr 18, 1819 Stark Co., Ohio, died April 22, 1894 Rosehill, Iowa. Married Elizabeth Jane Latimer on March 9, 1852 in Richland County, Ohio, daughter of William Latimer and Nancy Wilson. She was born December 19, 1836 in Richland Co., Ohio and died April 5, 1911 in Rose Hill, Iowa.
Their Children were:
1) James Latimer Warden b. April 25, 1854 in Dixon Illinois; died 23 April 1919 in Olmstead, Minnisota
2) William H. Warden, born November 10,1860, Dixon, Lee County, Iowa, died July 7, 1882 in Dixon, Rose Hill, Iowa, of inflamatory rheumatism
Notes for William H. Warden on burial records show he was buried at age 21 years on July 7, 1882, in Rosehill Cemetery, Wok Twp.,, Iowa, Middle name probably Hunter for his grandmother
3) Sarah Ellen Warden born Aug 14, 1856 in Dixon, Illinois, died February 5, 1938 in Ness City Kansas.
4) John Wilson Warden, born 17 January, 1862 in Dixon, Illinois amd died August, 1863 in Dixon, Illinois
Notes for John Wilson Warden WPA Burial Records show John W. Wardin duried near Dixon, Illinois, August, 1863 at the age of one year.
Presbyterian Church records for Dixon show John Wilson baptised July 12, 1863, parents S.C. Warden and Eliz. L. Warden.
5) Anna Rosetta Warden b. Septmber 24l 1864 in Dixon, Illinois, died 1924 in Rose Hill, Iowa.
6) Clara A. Warden b. November 7, 1866 in Ohio died 1933 in Rose Hill, Mahaska Co., Iowa,
As far as is known Clara never married. Was a school teacher. She was superintendent of Nursing in Omaha School for the Deaf. In 119330 she is living in Minneapolis, at the Soldiers' Home in Hennepin, a practical nurse she is age 63.
