Jim,

I found Mary Jane Murphy Wright's parents and siblings
in the 1860 Census, Township 4 S Range 6, Randolph,
Illinois, dated July 31, 1860.

James H. Murphy, 41, Tennessee, occupation: Farmer
Elizabeth Murphy, 34, Not sure of spelling,
Mary Jane Murphy, 16, Ill
John H. Murphy, 14, Ill
Robert J. Murphy, 12, Ill
Moses L. Murphy, 5, Ill
Sarah Murphy, 2, Ill

Since their daughter, Elsie, was born in Illinois in
1862, we know that they moved the family moved
to Iowa after that.

Found James, Robert, Moses, and Elsie living with
William and Mary Wright in the 1870 census Madison
County, Iowa. But Elizabeth and Sarah were not listed
so my guess is they passed away. Elizabeth died
between 1862/63 and 1870. Sarah between 1860 and
1870.

Haven't found any more information for William Wright,
but am searching.

Hope all this helps you.
Sharon
