I am seeking information on Josiah Poland and is wife Eliza Minerva Chrisman Poland who lived in the Madison County area in the mid-1850's and to about 1889.
Josiah and Eliza had 10 children--Mary, John W., Kate, Alice Minerva, Lydia, James Edwin, Clara, Ida Estelle,
Myrtle and Arthur.
James Edwin married Margaret Mae Gibbons in Fort Dodge and they made their home in Winterset. James died there in 1919 and Margaret in 1954.
Josiah was born in Pennsylvania.
I would be most grateful for any information on Josiah and Eliza the would help me to trace his line back to parents, etc.
Three members of our Poland line do genealogy and have been trying for over 20 years to trace Joshiah's line---all with no success. We would love to solve the mystery !!
